Laina Hubbard
Admissions Coordinator
Laina was born and raised in Pittsfield, MA. She received her BA from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK, where she majored in Psychology, Government, and French--because she just couldn't make up her mind. After a year in France, Laina returned to Tulsa and took a position as a cognitive trainer with Learning Rx. There she worked with students of all ages who have difficulty with cognitive processing and executive function.
Laina and her dog, Chandler Bing, came home to Pittsfield in 2008, and Laina began tutoring students with learning differences, ADHD, and Asperger's. Her favorite student is her ten-year-old sister, who has influenced Laina's desire to continue her education in the fields of learning disabilities and educational psychology, and who is an excellent reminder of the strengths and challenges that are unique to children with learning differences.
In her spare time Laina loves travel, theatre (attending and performing), reading, spending time with family and friends, and attempting to handle her psychotic dog, whom she loves anyway.
